Rago Baits Files Patent Lawsuit against EcoPRO Tungsten and Justin Lucas

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 1, 2017

Jerry Rago has filed a complaint against Anglers Select LLC dba EcoPRO Tungsten and pro Justin Lucas in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

The complaint alleges EcoPRO, which introduced a bait design identical to a Rago Baits design at the ICAST 2016 trade show, copied the design from Rago in violation of Rago’s patent rights. The complaint also alleges EcoPRO hired fishing pro Justin Lucas who falsely claimed to be the creator of the design to assist in marketing and selling the copied Rago design.

It's never good when lawyers have to get involved. I hope they can still work things out.

Well Darn.

Don't know EcoPRO but fished several tournaments with Justin Lucas when he was a kid. He came up thru the Federation.

Hate to see anyone involved in a lawsuit.

Patents are expensive and only good if you protect it, don't blame Rago.
