Deep cranking

Went out to Bullards Bar yesterday and the deep crank bite was on. Consistently catching 2-3lbs. With the biggest being 6lbs., they were around 15-20ft. Having said that, I know I need a better deep cranking rod. I used Dobyns fury 705cb. Looking for something heavier duty. What has worked for you guys?

Phenix X-13 or X-12.

I started with an X-10 and am now getting the longer and stronger ones for myself.

When you say "Heavy-Duty", like for tossing big 10-XD deep cranks? If so, the best rod I use for that is in the Daiwa Zillion series. Check out the link:

Dobyns Champion 805 - Great for 10XD's, DD22's, and other large, deep diving crankbaits....I still throw the 400 Series Poes....

If you are tossing big deep cranks like DD-22's or the deep driving Evergreen cranks, I'd recommend the new Daiwa Tatula Elite Glass Series crank rod. I use the 8' footer and love it!:

The best deep cranking rod hands down is the Dobyns Champion series DC 805cb RM! You wont regret it.
