hard to beat a pair of Muck boots. They are comfortable, warm and keep your feet dry

Look for some Gortex cross trainers. They will keep your feet dry, and as long as your feet are dry, and you wear wool socks, you'll be fine. Just make sure your rain suit covers the tops of the trainers.

Go to REI and look at the Murrell waterproof boots. Extremely lightweight and comfortable. May look at the Moab Polar or the Thermo Adventure models, both are waterproof.

I just picked up a pair of Red Wing Irish setter boots, wore them to the duck blind and back for a total of three miles walked in a brand new pair of boots and they were comfortable, I will be using them for rainy days in the bass boat as well.

Muck or bogs. You can step into the lake to hook up the boat and still be dry. I like leather and gore tex too but they absorb water on the outside and will get cold.

I see Muck and Merrel are very popular. Which of the 2 are more comfortable? I stand in the boat all day so need something with good arch support and warm. But not make feet sweat.

Muck boots are 100% waterproof. Very comfortable to stand in all day long. I have had a pair for 10 years and have used them in the Ocean and Lakes. I also have a pair on my 11 year old Simms waders, very comfortable!

Jeff, had these for over 10 yrs. Super comfortable, I wear a wool sock never had an issue. No problem wearing all day walking around in a boat while its pouring. Just my 2 cents!

Ok thanks. I was thinking the Mucks were like a plastic rain boot and was worried my feet would get cold inside them. Are they light weight? traction while walking? Any problem running trolling motor with them?

Jeff, like I mentioned with the wool socks I never have had my feet get cold. No issues while walking around and the same while using the trolling motor. Honestly you won't no any difference between them and tennis shoes.
Hope that helps, good luck!

Be sure and try them on, to see if they will make working the TM more difficult.

In addition to the rain boots, what else cute rainy day outfits do you use? Raincoat or umbrella?
