Hey Guys,

This Wednesday I got to head out with Colorado Parks & Wildlife to salvage some fish. The private reservoir we were salvaging fish from was scheduled to be lowered at least 15 feet which would put all these bass, bluegill, crappie, and perch at risk for winterkilll soon. The bass and some of the aforementioned gills, crappie, and perch were all relocated to public bodies of water, and better yet fisheries with catch and release regulations for bass!

It might be hard to tell in the video but some of these fish are in the 6lb range and are heading to ponds with trout in them. Not only did the CPW improve fisheries overnight with relocating these fish it could also end up with a great scenario to grow some Colorado giants. Only time will tell, but it's great the CPW is working so hard to improve bass fishing in the northern part of the state.

Thanks again to Colorado Parks & Wildlife Fishery Biologist for allowing me to tag along as him, Assistant Fishery Biologist's Jason Duff and Alex Wooding worked so hard to save these fish and relocate them in areas they'll thrive and the public can fish for them!
