Hello fellow chasers of small creatures that lurk below!
Im in the process of changing my boat seat pedestal bases and was looking for some input. Are the small 3/4" posts sufficient enough or is there a huge difference with the 1.77" diameter holes? I currently have the 1.77 but replacing all of them is very costly compared to the 3/4". Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

Ive never had a problem with the 3/4 and im 6'2" 250#. My Champ had the 1.77 and i needed an off set post for the front for leg room so i made a plug with a 3/4 bronze bushing.

Im about the same, 6' 250 some odd. Which type exactly do you have that are 3/4"?? I noticed there are several companies that make pedestals. Are the Bass pro shops pedestals pretty good?
