Yesterday we attended a meeting at The California Natural Resources Agency. In attendance were myself, Pepper Snyder, Pat Young, James Stone (President of the Nor-Cal Guides and Sportsmen’s Association NCGASA.org), and Lobbyist, Mark Smith. This was the preliminary meeting to voice our concerns about the spiraling decline of the Northern California fisheries, with emphasis on the California Delta, and the vegetation eradication/pellet program. They accumulated and noted our concerns. This is the first of many meetings to come. NCGASA NEEDS your financial support to continue the fight. I believe they, NCGASA, are the last and best shot to move OUR needle. Everyone with a fishing pole, fishing boat, tackle box, kayak, firearm, etc., regardless of your political beliefs, should belong to this organization. All of you that have concerns about the sea lions over taking the Delta, here’s your opportunity to help your voice be heard. Hiding behind your computer isn’t doing anyone any good. That is a mountainous problem in itself, but without a structured organization like NCGASA your gripes and concerns are falling on deaf ears. The overabundance of sea lions in the Delta and its tributaries, is a by-product of the failing estuary. Since 1879, Sea lions, stripers and salmon have co-existed in harmony in a HEALTHY Delta ecosystem. Today the ecosystem is in peril so it’s a free for all for survival. Please join me today in supporting in NCGASA. It is $20.00 to join, and they will gladly accept any donations. Let’s start cheerleading with our wallets before it’s too late.
