What do you look for in a jig trailer, and WHY? Action, bulk, color? One of the most often cited reasons for using different trailers is to slow the fall of a jig. For example, by using a bulky, do-nothing trailer in cold weather, many anglers try to target winter bass, thinking they are slowing the fall of the jig (SPOILER: it's the exact opposite). Here I introduce the scientific concept of the CONTROL EXPERIMENT to help us solve the riddle of what makes trailers slow the fall of your favorite jig.

Great Video showing the difference in ROF between jig trailers. Another thing that one needs to consider is water displacement and this video touches on that as well. Something to think about before you tie on your next Canopy Grenades jig :D
