Delta Boat Crash Leaves 1 Dead and 5 Injured

1 dead, 5 injured after 2-boat crash in San Joaquin County
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, Calif. —
One person was killed and five more were injured after a hit-and-run boat crash in the San Joaquin County Delta, officials said.
The crash happened around 7:15 p.m. near Ski Beach, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office.
When deputies arrived on scene, the boat suspected of hitting the other one was already gone, the sheriff's office said. One person was declared dead at the scene.

WTH??? I fish around this area quite often and 7:15pm isn't even dark... Whoever's left the crash scene is likely facing a long jail term. I own and love both bass boat (Z521C) and the wakesurfing one (MasterCraft XT23). Observing both operators - the wakesurfing ones are on "another" level most of the time...

Turns out not to be a hit and run. Boat was in touch with authorities whole taking injured to medical help.
Sad deal.

UPDATE:
A young woman was killed and at least five other people were injured when two boats collided in the San Joaquin Delta.
That crash happened Saturday evening near a popular boating area known as Ski Beach, located just west of Stockton and north of Highway 4 in the Delta.
The crash scene Sunday was active with investigators from the San Joaquin Sheriff’s Office. They were combing through evidence left behind in the fatal collision that happened around 7:15 p.m., with sunset approaching.
The woman killed has been identified as 24-year-old Kelly Blake.
