I have the full set... all 4 sizes. I trolled the rat Ba^%%^s all over Clearlake when I got them in ''74''. Never bit so figured the master of spoon plugging must have been using different colors than mine  and hung them up on the lure trophy wall where they still hang

Rip.

You are Correct that is a Spoon Plug - and if ya dont know Buck Perry or his contributions to the sport you can start here https://www.bassmaster.com/news/perrys- ... hing-world

Essentially Buck Perry was one of the first to write and speak about how fish relate to structure and the importance of structure. He was most certainly a founding father of today's modern fishing.

My first Fred Hull show was back in 1968 at Santa Monica as I recall.
Buck Perry had a booth selling his Spoonplugs and I had heard of his structure fishing techniques so being a curious stopped and had a discussion with Mr. Perry. I was shocked that he believed that fish finders like graphs/flashers were worthless in his opinion. He was pushing his Spoonplug kits and bass migration theories that followed breaklines. Trolling his Spoonplugs along breaklines at various depths and speed was the key to catching bass consistantly.
Buck Perry is revered and in the Freshwater Fishing Hull of Fame for his fishing techniques as the father of structure fishing.
I remember walking away after talking to Buck Perry thinking about his statement that graphs are worthless and the old mans refusal to accept modern technology. Now I'am older then Buck Perry was back then and understand how difficult it can be to accept new ideas.
