Info on Berryessa Opening/Closing for COVID

Some of the ideas they will present are:
Soft opening with those with boats already on the lake. No outside launching at first.
Limited amount of launches, maybe by appointment or time slots. Possibly limit the number of people in a boat to 4 or 6 who are family members, neighbors, or close friends.
Social distancing is easy to accomplish on the dock as it is over 6 feet wide and boats are at least 6 feet apart.
Houseboats have their own bathrooms, kitchen, so there will be no usage of the bathroom facilities and are used by families that co-habitate.
Sunlight helps you process vitamin D to help stay healthy.
Social distancing is greatly enhanced when boats are out on the lake as they are spaced far apart, and are self maintained.
When travel to the lake for these reasons, it is with drivers who are experienced in the area roads and respectful to the local residents. It is not a “joy ride”. It is a direct route from home to the resort.
Kayaking and paddleboarding is a great exercise and is a solo sport.
