I was coming back into river's end last friday and got off pad as I passed the powerlines when all of a sudden the back of the boat(16'86 champion) was going under!It was like something grabbed the back of the boat and was pulling it under.I had to get it back on pad (in the 5mph zone )and once it flattened out I could slow down.I'm not sure what I did wrong,I've been running that part of the river a lot the past couple years and the only thing I could think of was I hit the fast current from the pumps when I was getting off pad.It scared the poop outa me!
Any thoughts or info so it won't happen again would be great!

It sounds like you left the trim up. Before you slow down make sure you trim the motor back down into the water. My Viper can be bad about this as well and Champion and Viper were by the same designer.

Have you been up to Pine Mountain in awhile. I'm your old neighbor across the lake. I know you access isn't as easy anymore, so just wondering.

Hey,how ya doing? I haven't been up there for a couple years.I want to get up there soon,My ex-inlaws are still in hawaii.
I thought maybe my trim didn't engage and did trim down.It worked right after that though.
