I now carry a mini jump starter in my boat and in my UTV. The price of them is very reasonable and it sure beats jumper cables.

If you have a two stroke definitely oil. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been running down the river and had my alarm go off only to find that I lost track of the low oil level in my oil injection tank.

a high quality, heavy duty TOW rope. (towing or being towed any distance is hard on rope),

a robust tool kit. Can't count the repairs on the water.

spare troller prop. You will be glad you did.

First Aid kit. Not the cheapos.

Jumper cables. emergency start units won't get you thru the last 90 minutes of troller time at the end of a tournament.

Rain Gear. Not negotiable.

Been there. Used ALL of the above repeatedly. Got it?

No need for bananas  but you do need a good fishing partner that won’t whine on days when you catch the lions share of bass!

Thanks for all the replies, just the answers I was hoping for. Has anybody caught fish WITH BANANAS on board?

Years ago I caught plenty of fish with bananas in the boat before I heard of the superstition
