I'm getting a little older and wanted to try something different. I pair it with a Shimano Chronarch 8;1. The Champion was awesome, but that Champ Extreme feels better to me. Same characteristics as the Champion series, but on a lighter better balanced feel. I think the reel helps contribute to this. I believe balance combined with quality is the key. Hope this helps.
