Clear lake advice needed

Going up to Clear Lake from down south for the first time,any advice on the overall best ramp to use.

everything should be open. Depends where you're staying. Start looking for prespawn fish.

It's going to be a terrible week weather wise. I'm going up from this Saturday through next Sunday and the weather crashes on Thursday with 2 inches of rain or snow/freezing rain. When they are up a slow rolled swimbait ....Maybe an a-rig in your mix will help. They were on docks in the Lakeport area last week according to the Record Bee.

Temps have dropped. In the 20s last two nights at my house. Water was 45 yesterday morning. But guys are still catching fish. Things are changing though. Calling for Snow next week

As far as launching your boat , whats the safest area, I have heard some stories about break ins while your out fishing.

I’ve lived here 16 years. Never had a problem at any of the ramps. If I launch at redbud though I park over by the tackle shop. County park used to have some gas theft issues but county put up cameras. Ramp monitors are around on weekends
