Gov. Gavin Newsom and his administration have touted plans to build a tunnel to transport water beneath the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, saying the project would modernize California’s water infrastructure and help the state adapt to climate change.
But an advocacy group is urging the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California to abandon the $16-billion project, saying it doesn’t make financial sense for the state’s largest urban water agency.

Canceling the tunnel plan would cut our deficit almost in half.
Cancel the train to nowhere, and I bet we'd be in the plus, even with penalties for canceling existing contracts.

Anyone see a bullet train after spending $5,000,000,000 billion and 14 years counting?
What happen to additional $9.000,000,000 billion in approve voter bonds to fund the project?
What happen to the $2,000,000,000 billion provided by the FED/Obama failed infrastructure funds for High Speed Rail?
Now, a $16,000,000,000 billion tunnel to divert fresh water from the River with a $33,000,000,000 billion annual deficit.
-California voters need to WTF UP and start voting wisely as the ONE PARTY DEMOCRAT State is a damn JOKE!

All that tax payer money got dispersed to the politicians buddies and then part of that went back to the politicians to hide in their freezer. Probably a deep chest freezer.
I don't think Californians are voting for this crap like were led to believe. There is no way that stupid gas tax passed a few years ago. Newsom's should have been recalled but it wasn't even close. They change the votes to suit what they want. A sitting president was robbed of a second term so don't think its not happening here. Kari Lake and Dr. OZ was also robbed. No telling who or what else at this point. Things will never change in this state so either get with the program of move away.

As noted, California is a joke along with voters that continue to support these asinine policies.

When will the Republicans, or anybody else, offer alternatives that the majority of people will vote for?
