Pro Bass Angler Wes Logan Suffers Broken Ribs & Facial Lacerations In Boating Accident On Lake Champlain, Leaves Hospital & Gets Right Back On The Water
Ok, maybe not… but Elite Series angler Wes Logan sure as hell belongs on the list.
During this past weekend’s Elite Series stop at the always stellar Lake Champlain, a world-class fishery that lies between New York and Vermont and stretches up into Quebec, Canada, Wes Logan had himself a nightmare scenario on Day 2.
While running at fairly high speeds (about 50 mph) up the lake to his next spot, Wes’ boat hit something underneath the water (possibly a dock that came loose as a result of the flooding from heavy rains the day before) which caused him to lose control of the boat. The motor broke off the transom, the boat spun completely around, Wes was thrown across the boat and he smacked his head and face on the gunnel. Had it not been for the leash, the motor might’ve come right into the boat.
