A Christmas Poem (from last year)

Twas the night before the tourney
While preparing my gear
A noise from the bilge
Is what I did hear
It sounded like a crack
Or even a rattle
So I turned on the pump
To see what was the matter
The color of the water
Well it seemed quite clear
What made it that way
Was something I feared
Quagga or Golden in my bilge
Could it be?
Start taking out batteries
to have a looksy
As I moved the cover to expose the pump
The shape of a muscle
I did see in my sump
Oh NO! I declared
It mustn't be................
AND THEN I WOKE UP!
