A word about buying a boat from a board sponsor...

I just purchased a new Triton from Nixon's Marine in Walla Walla. I have to tell you guys that Jeff Priester runs a class A dealership.
I started my boat hunt by contacting just about every Triton dealer I could find a phone number or email address for. As usual, the very best prices were from dealers located in Kentucky or Tennesse. I checked with the local dealers (I won't name names, but I live in Redding and Sacramento isn't that far) and they were way ($5k) above the east coast guys. As I was talking to some friends about having to make the 2200 mile one way trip to save $5k on a boat, one asked if I had checked Nixon's to see if they had what I was looking for. I called Jeff and told him exactly what I wanted. He called back in 30 minutes and gave me a price that was not only under the locals, it was $2500 under the best price I could get on the same boat in Kentucky and had better electronics! I even re-contacted the local dealer twice with a chance to sell me a boat, but they couldn't come close.
Only problem was that the boat he had was a dual console and I was looking for a single. Other dealers had told me that if the factory put the second console in, it couldn't be removed without severe fiberglass and gel coat damage. Jeff told me "no problem, we do it all the time". They removed the second console with zero, zip, nada damage to the boat or the console for that matter, in fact, I have the second console as proof.
I went to Walla Walla to pick up the boat last weekend, and although Jeff was delivering my boat and another that morning and preparing to leave for a tournament that afternoon, he took plenty of time to go over everything with me as well as having his mechanic go over the whole package with me. When he realized that the boat cover was made for a dual console and not a single, he had his on site boat canvas shop modify the cover for a perfect fit. You just don't get service like that anymore.
I've owned a lot of bass boats over the years but after crawling over, under around and through every inch of this boat, I can honestly say it's the best rigging job I've ever seen and I've seen some damn good ones.
In closing, if you're looking for a new Triton, Bullet or Skeeter give Jeff at Nixon's a chance to make your deal. I don't think you'll be disappointed
