I'm not sure if it will make a difference either way but if the concensous wants one certain lakeit would be surprising if the orgs. didnt give the anglers what they asked for...You never know....

I pulled it because I didnt see the 2 day event for mead on the poll. If someone voted for mead before I pulled it to add the other option, they can vote again and it will be legit.
Theres no funny business going on. I was just trying to add the option and didnt know how to do it without starting over.

What Team Championship are you referring to?

If you mean the NBW team championship, it doesn't matter where it is - I ain't going (unless jb runs it).

If you mean WON BASS, it's at Havasu this year - regardless of the outcome of your poll.

Also, how come you didn't include Clear Lake, The Delta, Shasta, or Oroville in your poll? Any one of these lakes are far better for a team championship than either Havasu or Mead.

Sorry Pete - no vote from me on this one.

I know Clear lake is supposed to be awesome and I hear the nunbers of fish are off the hook at Shasta but I dont think that any of those lakes up north are reasonable choices because of the travel. 7-10 hours is way too far for the average guy. At least it is for me. The extra distance means more time off work and that is hard to do for alot of guys. Fishing a weekend tournament and driving home 3 1/2- 4 hours in the same day is pushing it enough. To have to go 7-10 hours is way too much. Which is where the extra days off come in for travel.
Just my thoughts.

PS....I know this poll wont have any affect on this years WON because we are already going to Havasu....thank god. But I just wanted to kinda get an idea of other peoples thoughts about the topic. I'm actually surprised Mead is leading it right now.

Mead and Vegas are #1

As just your average guy who loves to fish tournies, Lake Mead w/ Las Vegas is really cool. It's easier to sell the wife on going also for more pre-fish days etc. .02

The Delta is better than either of those desert lakes. The east Delta - Stockton - is about 5 hours. It could take alot longer than that to get to or from Havasu or Mead.

Hey 19X,

You probably have alot of my option money  I'd like you to hold on to it and not give it to the Blackjack dealer  After 8 hours, I'm toast. Hey what do yuo have on the back of that 19X and whats your speed?

fishinman,

Not really sure what you mean, my post didnt have anything to do with Off Limits. I like John and Havasu, I agreed with Ron why is that a bad thing. I'd say the same thing if I knew you and liked you. Mead, I needed a kidney replaced last time I was there.

Hmmmm ... Powell or Mead. Let's see.

I vote for Palmer Lake in Washington, huge smallies and a heck of a lot cooler than either Havasu or Mead.

Come on, gas isn't that high if you compare it "to what they pay in Europe."

Hey Pete

I think I have a solution to your poll. Looks like at this years Bass-a-thon you can get on stage and have a coin flip. Let KVD flip the coin, heads-Havasu, tails-Mead. What do you think? Rick G.

Thats a good idea Rick.....

Even playing field. Lets have it on the Delta. See how many southern boys can manage the tides and power fishing!

That would be awesome! The Delta, Clear Lake, Shasta, Oroville, Don Pedro, etc., etc. Any of these lakes would make for an exciting end of the year tourney.

If any team org. announces the Delta for there championship I am all in with them. Until then I voted for 2 days at Havasu. You fools who voted for Mead are in la la land. Havasu is the best fishery on the Colorado river chain right now. Ask John Murray.Maybe you guys who voted for Mead should go and learn to fish Havasu. Look at the weights to win any tournament at Havasu and compare them to Mead. Havasu has better size fish and also more fish per acre. It also has more T&A per acre than Mead. Maybe some of you who voted for Mead don't like the extra scenery..... You are a fool if you don't like that.(sorry Mel this doesn't count for you)

2 days at Havasu... Love that place...

Matt

Ray...you know whats up............

You are exactly right. Havasu doesnt even compare to Mead.
One thing you said though isnt exactly fair though.......to say that Havasu has more fish per acre than Mead would have to mean that there are actually fish in any given acre at Mead. I know Mead has gotten better but you can go a mile at Mead and it could be like fishing the dead sea.

As far as the "scenery" at Havasu....it doesnt get much better. And I think that I can speak for both Mel and Carissa when I say that they love the place because the smallmouth are so fun to catch. In fact one of Melanies favorite ways of fishing is my favorite to at Havasu, in fact, we both have a bait that VERY FEW people have or use there and it KILLS the Smallies. But we are EXTREMELY tight lipped about it so I cant say anymore about it.

I think the guys that voted for a 1 day at Mead are off their rocker and even the guy that voted for a two day at Mead. They obviously dont know Havasu like we do. And how about the guy who voted for a 1 day at Havasu.?? I cant imagine only fishing one day there becasue it is so damn fun....I'd fish a 3 day there but the presure would lock that place down a bit.
