PRAYERS DO WORK (VERN)

Haven't had a chance to thank everyone for their prayers and thoughts. I got out of the hospital today about 4:30 PM.
I had what they call a MINI stroke last week. Thought everything was going to be OK. That is what I get for thinking. Went out Monday afternoon to do some work on tournaments felt fine. On the way home I started feeling weird. Got home and started feeling worse. I started to drive myself to the hospital that is when everything went goofy. I stopped by Greg Cyphers house he rushed me to hospital. I got there in time. They did alot of stuff that I really can't remember. The next morning I felt like a guinny pig after 8 hours of test and treatments. They got everything straightened out.
There was know real bad damage to the brain. I have lost some feeling on the left side of my body. It comes and goes. They feel that most of it will eventually go away.
They are a little worried about my heart condition but believe if I get the right treatmets and quit smoking that I will be OK.
They said I could go fishing as long as I have some one with me.

There is know way that I can thank everyone for their thoughts and PRAYERS,I always knew that anglers are special people. But when something like this happens it really shows. Between e-mails , post on this web site and phone calls I was over whelmed.

So with a complete life style change and the blessings from the Anglers and the Lord, I guess you will have to put up with this OLD MAN a little longer.

Again for my Family, wife Sara and myself I would like to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Vern

We'll see ya at the March tournament Vern couldn't make the first Carl had to leave town that week. He got hit with 2 deaths in the family back in Ohio. Shouldn't you get extra help in running your Feb 10th tournamnet? Well good to hear your back.

...you old fart. (I can say that). Please do not get all stressed out over this tournament ****. Remember what my good friend John Barron always says: "It's just fishing Man. It's supposed to be fun".

Take Care Vern.
