getting the IPhone?? This is some pretty amazing technology but I'll save my $$ for when they drop 1/2 the price and can interface with a Lowrance sonar unit.

Not only wait for the price to go down but wait to see if the quality is beter than an Ipod. My cousin works at the Apple store and the Ipods are being replaced under warranty as much as 5 or 6 a day around here.

Can't change the battery, sealed unit. Can only get yahoo or msn emails to name a few.
I'm gunna wait until the second gen, let them work the bugs out with the first one..

I got the 30gb video. I have had it for 2 years and im on my third one. They constantly break.

I'm a tech and I've always thought "why are people paying $150-$300 for a piece of junk they can use with a little less flexibility for $50. One gal on the channel 5 news couldn't even answer a phone call on the new IPHONE! $600-$800 bucks yeah right only if your ugly and you think you need to look KOOOOOOOOOOLLLLL!!!!!!

1. Since when are news broadcasters smart

2. Machine malfunction is more often than not operator error....PC or Mac

3. Apple will fix anything the bugs when it comes to their product

4. Never underestemate Steve Jobs

5. Like the IMac and IPod the IPhone will prove the nae sayers wrong.

I dont think answering a phone falls under the "public experiment" catagory, not to mention I would think being able to answer it is a non issue. I mean after all, it is a phone.

This has been around for years!

The iphone is no better than an HP IPAQ or Dell Axium.... I programmed them to do tickets for cops... but, they have the ability to be a phone - browse the internet, load video, pictures and lots more.. and they are under $300 probably less now. They run a version of windows called windows CE or now I think it is Windows Mobile. Anything that IPhone can do - this can too... and you can use whatever phone service you want with it plus program it to do other stuff like write Speeding tickets, do DUI reports or collision reports, maintain a database of clients for salescalls or whatever - you name it.. it can be done! you may need to hire a programmer to have it written in some cases.. but, with Syware (syware.com) if you are pretty savvy...

Sure they are probably a tad bigger than an Iphone but, they are tested and working flawlessly in the market place - for YEARS.

Anything Steve Jobs can do - Bill Gates can do better!

OK OK - Jobs is probably smarter than Gates when it comes to innovation - but, Bill has the business knowledge to get a team of employees to match and outdo any of Apple's.


You bring your Iphone and I'll bring my Pocket PC and we'll match utility for utility and the Pocket PC will smoke the Iphone for 1/2 the price and no special contract!

All of these toys are just tools. If they fit your need, use them. If not, move on.

Dont make me go to Microsoft's web site and download the Brittany Spears song "Opps I'm doing it again" You cant compare a software company to a software/hardware company, in all fairness I cant do that to ya. But we can compare apples to apples (no pun intended). How about the hugely popular Zune to the iPod, does anyone know they released this thing? Lets compare Apples iMac to the ummmm oh wait Microsoft did have an answer to the iMac. Or the iPhone, what's Microsoft's answer? and remember it has to be made by Billy, both software and hardware, again they have nothing. I agree that Bill might be a better business in some respects but only because Steve never licensed his OS, but that's it. Steve Job's also got Pixar off the ground, what did Bill do?, nothing. Remember Steve Jobs doesn't care about the business world, not one bit. I can say that he has the entertainment side locked up. My prediction, Apple will be selling Flat screen TV's that go on the wall. He already has iTV, the iPhone/iPod, music/movie download abilities and the computer. This iTV it will be one unit, you see where Apple's going? Again, business=bad, entertainment=$$$$$. Why, because there are far more homes in this world than Businesses. In my opinion, Job's is smarter. But I ask you, can Microsoft do everything Apple can, not even close.

P.S. Can you let me know when Microsoft actually releases there OS's on time, it might help there stock get above 40 bucks.
