Those cross tail shads definitly don't work on those spotted bass

.......They sell some of those (not the Jackal brand) up by Shasta.
Yes, it's true.

Not really a secret. Most of those baits have been available in Japan for awhile.. but they are new to the USA. The Cross-tail shad was being made by Sweetwater (US company) for several years. The MC 60 and Muscle Deep cranks and SquadMinnow rip bait are totally new.

You will see more and more of this stuff coming to the US.
Hollywood, I am expecting a package of Evergreen jigs. I have a friend that just got back from Japan and he picked up some stuff for me. He's going back in the fall so I have to put another list together.

The Crosstail shad that used to sell at Oroville was from Lake Police. They stopped shipping them over hear... this Jackall Crosstail shad is the exact same bait... Not sure how but, these two companies work together to make this bait.
The other baits are awesome as well.
I ran a picture of Marc Higashi last issue of the magazine with a big fish and a bait in its mouth. Didn't even notice the bait, but apparently our readers did... I have received no less than 20 emails asking what the bait was... apparently it looks identical to some bait fish in Virginia... It's the Jackall Doozer!
Pretty cool looking bait... I should have stolen that one from the Custom Rod Master himself when I had the chance!
They new colors on the Giron should knock 'em dead as well.
OH and Brian have you seen the rods? WOW.... Wish I could afford them... They are high end rods... a lot like G-Loomis IMX but, even better. I couldn't believe the feel on those rods... Pricey but, if you've got the money they are pretty awesome.

Kevin,
Why don't the Japanese companies market their stuff here? What's up with the Japan only deal? Is it marketing at home, or don't they think they'll make money here?

many can't keep up with demand here so why expand. then there is the supply and demand, everyone wants it but only a few can get it, keeps prices high as well as demand. Then the cost to ship goods prolly affects things as well.
Some companies just choose not to go, evergreen is one at least for the time being so until there items dont sell anymore i wouldnt expect to see them in the usa anytime soon. all the baits from lucky craft are the ones they couldnt sell here so they let you guys buy them all up with the exception of there newest baits like the RC and skeet.
I kinda like it the way it is, ha ha...

Like Kevin said Jackall and Lake Police are the same company.
Here's the funny thing some of the Jackall soft plastics are made by another company.
It's true that the Japanese have problems supplying the Japanese market but there are more companies coming over. I know of atleast 2 may be even 3. It's only a matter of time that more do come over.

your right about that big gorilla, with the way the japanese economy is right now i am not surprised one bit, a lot are making the last effort to stay afload over here in a market that is not very good.
