I had a 7' competive edge revolver that snapped and I need to replace it, I looked at the BPS rods, but I don't like the bump in the handle, lloking to spend around $100 and ideas?
Also I might be interested in buying a used rod.
Thank you,
Jason Pardini

I use the st croix premier glass crankbait rod 7ft med. I think it is like $110. since its a glass rod it has pretty good sensitivity. I used to throw graphite for crankbaits but i like glass better.

Falcon Rods. Either the LFC 4-17 or the LFC 5-17 Lowrider cranking stick, depending on the size of cranks you throw. The 4 power is rated down to 1/4 oz., I think, and it's great for light jerk baits, like the Orbit 80, or the small Cultivas. Their 5 power throws DD22s great. They should both be in your price range.

You can buy them through BPS. If you don't see them listed, do a search using the numbers I gave you.

Check out tacklewarehouse.com
They have the Daiwa Light N Tuff series 7' Cranking rod for $99:

Or they also have the S-Series 7' Cranking rod for $99 also:

Both rods are awesome and the sensitivity on the L&T series cant be beat....Great deal for the quality....Don't buy a BPS rod!!! For the extra $50 you'll spend you'll be getting a rod that will blow the BPS junk outta the water...Difference is like night and day....

Agreed,
Them Daiwa rods are tough to beat for the good quality and resonable price. They aren't the fancy specific rods like the Skeets or Dobyns, but they are the best all 'round cranking rods.

I love my Lamiglas Competitor Series CFC 685 for cranking. ITs made out of E-Glass which has a graphite butt and a fiberglass tip.
Its ONLY $85 and comes with a lifetime warranty.
