Too bad. He was one of the few that had the b@lls to speak his mind and say things that many were thinking but too afraid to say. Though his posts were blunt they were usually funny as h3ll.

I never felt compelled to sign up here and post anything until now.
He had it coming and I'm sure he knew it...and looked as though he was begging for it.
Like I said, good riddance!
You're right Buddy Brown..........

He was one of the few who wasnt too PC to speak the truth. Yeah he joked around alot....hell he joked around in MOST of his posts but I guess that is wrong to some people. I dont ever remember Him cussing in his posts or even posting bad pictures. Hell he didnt even know how to post pics to begin with. Is the word "banana hammock" wrong to say??? If so then 75% of the people on here would be banned because they say things way worse then that. The majority of people on here thought that his posts were funny and knew that he was just having fun when he posted. No...he wasnt the poster child for perfect posts....nor was he the poster boy for correct spelling, sentence structure or punctuation. But one thing he was though was ...He was real!! No sugar coating, no false promises, no BS...
I guess that some people just cant handle that type of stuff. They read his posts but were so uptight that they only saw them as negetive and didnt see the humor of a guy that was just trying to keep it light, have some fun and joke around. What the heck are things coming to that a Vet who helped fight for our freedom of speech gets banned from a public forum? Just not right I'd say....
I'd understand if he threatened people, posted "adults only" pictures, or even cussed up a storm....but he did none of that. I'm not saying that I agree with all Hippies responses but the guy is entitled to his own opinion....he fought for this country...I'm quite certain hes earned that right!!
People need to just get a grip....get a life and lighten up some...make that ..lighten up ALOT. This site is for entertainment and entertainment only. This is not a board meeting room, a city counsil meeting, a political conference room, or a court room.....its a fishing website forum. People need to lighten the heck up....
Pete

Hey fishnuts, I'm offended by your post. You never meet him nor know him. Nice way to judge someone you never meet, your a true lurker. What's your name, like I said LURKER! His post were mostly as a joke. Some were real. Maybe he needed to use all the dumb faces on the left side so some of you could know the difference. Have you ever seen him at a tourney? That's him true and blue (blue balled and now black balled). My personal belief is that a lot of people here are older and old people don't have a sense of humor. I've seen a lot worse than what Hippie has said (all in code words) and if you have a child that knows code words then your not the parent you thought you were. Long live Hippie and long live the soldiers that protect our rights which Hippie did.

I was thinking the same thing, I must of missed the whole deal cause from what I seen of his post are NOTHING, to some of the Sh

T that is posted on here and they get away with it.
I guess its like anything if your in the click you can do anything and if your not you get the boot
I also have to agree with what Pete said about his posts I didn't see anything wrong with them he was just speaking HIS OWN MIND and there is Nothing wrong with that

I have never personally met Hippie. But I have read many of his post. Yes sometimes they were a little off the wall. But he spoke what he felt, and it is not like he was hiding under a screen name as everyone knew who he was. In fact most of the time if I saw he had posted something I would read it just because it was HIPPIE.
I say let him back on.
Hippie if you ever come to Vegas you can ride in my boat anytime. Vern

He got banned for what you all have seen. Nothing missed!!!!! For the code words for things that should not be said openly like "tree trunk" meaning your man hood below the waist. I'm sure others are mad at his "close it" remarks. That's it, nothing other than that. I'm sure STony got some complaints from some that feel they are the authority of "Clean" and "DRY" posts, if you get my drift.

Banned for what???
People cant express a controversial opinion or have a little fun with sarcasm and banter here???
The last time I checked free speech was right up front in the constitution.
I put it to you the moderators to re-think this abomination and re-instate the babbling buddah known as "hippie".
You guys should be more concerned about people who take pot shots and then go hiding behind screen names: oh yeah they have a right to privacy! As hippie should have the right as a veteran to freedom of speech.
That means you fishnuts, why dont you grow a pair and come out of the closet.
Whatever he did I cant imagine it being worth banning him.
I demand that democratic process take over and we put it to vote. Count my vote first you pinkos!!!!

Guy, I for one didn't like Hippies "close it" posts, I felt they were cold to an issue near and dear to some of us. And I'm a Clean and Dry guy.
But that said, I'm not the most PC guy in the world either.
Banned? Maybe a scolding would have been enough...

Ive never seen soo many grown men act like sad little choir boys...you people need to look in the mirror before you cast stones. Fishnuts...your a pansy, you don't make a single post until the guy is gone and can't defend himself. A prime example of all the keyboard courage.

Give a man a keyboard and he can run faster and jump higher. TOOLS.

Doug, I know that you don't know Hippie but believe me when I say that he is totally kidding. He's a hardcore guy. He said nothing bad enough to get him banned. The whole Close it thing was a joke just like banning him for it!

Well folks, here's the scoop straight from the guy that banned hippie and then unbanned him what seemed like less then 24 hours later. In fact most of your posts in this thread were put up after he was taken off the ban list on the 17th. So hippie was on the list for all of one day, just long enough for he and I to send an email or two back and forth.
I don't know hippie personally, at least I believe we've never met. I don't know many of you personally but hope to someday. Hippie knows why I did what I did and that's between me and him. One thing I'll share with you is you guys don't realize how many of our users on the site are kids. We have kids from all over get on this website and some do use our forums, including my own.
Jason and I needed to communicate and we have. If this interaction has made him feel that he needs to lurk instead of post messages then so be it but that is his call, not mine.

I couldnt agree more that the majority of people on this site are kids...or atleast they stomp there feet and cry like little kids. Grown men writing emails and "tattle telling" on a guy who really did nothing wrong. If i was Hippie id dress up like a zebra mussel and run around the front gates of casitas until they kicked me out. Oh wait...that might actually take a sense of humor to grasp...my bad.
