I kept missing fish on this bait and I just seen this last night. http://fishskinforum.forumotion.com/bas ... ts-t32.htm I think this would get the swipeing fish more easy, its not weedless, but I'm fishing rock banks for spots mostly and big ones I've seen have grabbed where this hook is . what do you guys think ?

Man, that looks killer. Seems very similar to the osprey. I wondered as well about slashers that would not get stuck by a single hook. My guess is that it will put more fish in the boat.

You can do the same thing with bullet weights.

I emailed the dude from the forum and he said there is another couple different rigs he is going to show in the next week and some custom soft swimbaits, he's going to sell there. They are new and I like to get as much info as I can fish-skin.com I guess they just opened up. They areow, but I guess they have some good guys helping them out check, them out .

Bladerunner Tackle (Rick Tietz) will have a new hooking system released for the hollow body swimbaits very soon...the pro staffers have prototypes from the sport shows.

I've seen them and one word describes them...AWESOME.

Just like the Ospreys and Water Strikers DD. That will work well in open water for sure, but won't help much in the thick stuff.

agreed, but in open water you hook up ratio will get better!

Like out at Folsom?

Not to much thick stuff to worry about there, just those darn boulders they can't seem to mark!

I saw that new rig that Rick Tietz is going to put out over the weekend at the Fred Hall Show. I haven't had the pleasure to fish one but that's just details, its one of those things where you just look at it and laugh because you know its going to slay them! When Rick finally drops his harness on the market the way these baits are being rigged is going to CHANGE and everyone's hook up ratios are going to go through the roof!

I don't know if a different rig will help my catching ability or not, so far I have yet to get a single strike, let alone a fish, on the bastrix or similar baits..Everyone makes it sound as though all you need to do is get them in the water and they will catch fish..That has not been the case for me, at least not so far..

Here is another way to rig it. I used a Money Minnow, but you could do it with any paddletail. <img src="/shared/photos/photoother/resized/563_resized.jpg">
<img src="/shared/photos/photoother/resized/562_resized.jpg">

One hook point comes out the top, and the other two come out the sides.

It swims well, only rolling at high speeds, but I can just add more weight to solve that.
