Jay definitely has a good draw. Eduard sure can put better quality fish from the back of the boat. He is one dropshotting, ika, senko fishing maniac!

Considering how good the bite is at DVL right now, I wouldn't be surprised if the back seater brings in the larger fish for most of the bag.

C'mon Steve, it is a blind draw.....Now I can open my eyes for a little pre-draw incentive....LOL.
I remember last year, I don't think Landers ever launched until the sun was straight up, he was always last of the last flight.

I know we have lost a few guys for this event and we are trying hard to pair the field every time out. I apologize to the non-boaters who are not in, we are sticking to our guns about not allowing cherry-picking and that conviction sometimes comes at a cost.

Ron, I'm sorry you did not get in for DVL, but I had to give first priority to those non-boaters who had fished both of the first 2 events, and then to the angler who was unable to compete at Casitas but who still came out and volunteered his time to help the circuit he supports. I would love to get everyone in, but I cannot force Pros to fish especially if they are willing to give up their deposit to skip the event.

Just for clarity to anyone else, a Pro angler signs up for the entire season with Top Stick, but unforseen circumstances can cause absence from particular events. The advent of the "Waiting List" for Pro anglers was established to help keep non-boaters from getting left out in the boat count and to keep the purse high, as Top Stick pays over 90% at each event and about 120% overall against entry fees collected. About exactly 0.00% goes into my or John's pockets or gas tanks per event.

The very first instance of using the "Pro Waiting List" was last year at DVL when a Pro was brought in to fill a spot. Right away, the calls of "ringer", "cherry picker", etc. were used by some following the tour but not actually involved with it. We reiterated our position publically and the aforementioned "Waiting List Pro" helped a non-boater garner points to help him to the TOC. We conducted the same protocol throughout the season when we lost Pro boaters per event. It got to where we had exhausted our Waiting List, and had to leave non-boaters at home. No one liked that.

This season, we are following the same procedure. Just as we did not allow "cherry picking" last year, we will not loosen our stance to let it happen this year, even if we cannot accommodate all the non-boater requests per event. That is part of our promise to those who have fished with us since the beginning, and will be our procedure as long as there is a Top Stick Tour.
