Due to concert conflicts up at Clear Lake, we've been pressed to move the Western Rally @ Clear Lake up one week to the weekend of July 18-20.

Apparently, response to the Alan Jackson and Carrie Underwood concerts is over the top and we can't get an affordable room rate on that weekend. Costs for th rooms during that concert weekend are $139 per night.

By moving up one week we've been able to firm up a room rate of $89 per night.

Rally registration is due to open up soon. We hope you're planning to join us for the fun that is the Western Rally.

Lee Hines is the Director for this year's Rally.

PS Don't tell anyone, Clear Lake is on the top of California's sleeper lakes.

The block on rooms will take affect tomorrow. Just signed contracts today. Lee says registration should open up real soon. He's out of state right now but should be working to get those pages open and available.

Suck... I've been planning my summer schedule around it all year. I guess I'll start doing some shifting of my schedule. I'm gonna do everything I can to make it work....

Yeah, it's a bummer deal as the old date is what's in print in the Bass Angler's Guide calendar. But I figured more people would be upset at thought of paying an extra $50 a night to stay at the Rally HQ.

We've had concerts impact us like this before. We usually always have something to work out but this seemed the most cost effective option for our rally friends.

And we really do apologize for any trouble it may cause anyone.

Just Last week my boss asked for our Summer vacations plan had to be put in hard print for coverage purposes!! Well I did the week stated!! Will try to change it

Is this year's rally being held at Konocti Harbor or Konocti Vista???

I hope it is at the Casino again, that was tight. My neighbor and I will be coming up in his camper, I will bring my boat hope to tie up to the slips and leave it in overnight.

It will be going out of the Casino again. I am trying to get the registration pages up and running between meetings and work. I hope to have them up tonight and I will post when I do.

So, how much is the registration? On the registration form it's $65 for participants and $15 for non-fishing participants and on the rooster it's $50 and $25. How much should should we remit?

Steve - Thanks for pointing that out - I was working with easily multipliable numbers while I was programming the pages and left the test figures on the roster page. The correct figures are $65 and $15. I am headed to bed now, it's almost 2 a.m. here and I have a 9:00 a.m. meeting with a contractor.

I really had a great time last year and enjoyed fishing with Gary Collins, Dewayne Bonham and Dave Mayo.

Hopefully I will avoid dropping a fish back into the lake while transferring it from the livewell to the weigh-in bag!!! Maybe I can even win a raffle prize!!!

Hey G-man It will be a blast so you better go... I gotta defend my top nut title and I wouldnt miss this for anything. I have had more fun fishing these Rally events than in any tourney so far.
