Last I heard the calls will start May 4th. I'm #336 so I might get a call before the end of summer.

this is what I heard, the inspections are supposed to start 5/5/08
and they will be rediculously tough and time consuming what is
going on here is the board has done this to get people off there
back until the next round of complaints come in what needs to happen here is we will have to wait until election time and somehow make sure the a holes get voted off the board I think
that is the best solution to our problem by conforming to there new
rules you only let them get away with there personel agenda.
personally I think we all should have started donating money for a lawyer a LONG !!! time ago.

Had 1 of the "inspectors" come by the shop a couple days ago. I agree w/ some of the threads above(remove baggerly). He told me he was going to begin calling boaters on the list monday. What was good news was he was going to inspect everyday. He wanted to get the inspections rolling at a quick pace. My biggest fear now is the price of fuel. Will guys be able to afford to drive boats to the lake?

Well said !! I live by LAX and I will drive my boat 90 miles each way and pay my $50 when my number comes up without being able to fish. Think how fishing will be without the tournament pressure. Gotta love it !

So how do you get on the lake now with your own boat?

It looks like you pay them for a $50 inspection when they call and come back after 10 days to fish all you want. It only becomes a problem if you want to fish other lakes. Hopefully Cachuma, Piru, and the other "CLEAN" lakes will get the same system and honor each other. But for now I will pay and enjoy my favorite local lake.
