i recently broke 3 lamiglas rods and on the first one they told me that it would be $90 dollars to replace it the 2nd one they replaced it and the third one also $90 dollars to replace it. i was just wondering if any of you have had this issue also.

i would like to say that g-loomis has been outstanding in replacing my rods i have never had a issue with them replacing any of my rods including my $375 dollar glx.

g-loomis has definitely earned my business.

Their replacement policy might have changed, but the last time I had to replace one, I brought it to Fishermans wherehouse and they gave me a new one for about 15 bucks. It would be a bummer if the policy had changed.

How did they break?

they broke how all rods break not on fish who really breaks there rods on fish at the tip rod lockers but g-loomis has never questioned a broken rods

I've broken 2 Lami's and was a little confused about their warranty myself...

the first broke at the telescopic handle after fishing for several hours and I have no idea why.... I sent it in direct to Lami and was told it had been crushed (it hadn't) and I paid a replacement fee ($65 I think)..... which is still better than full price...

The second broke near the tip swinging a fish into the boat..... My Fault for sure.... and it was replaced free of charge over the counter at Fisherman's........

so who knows

Their warranty policy is not as good many other rod manufacturers. I sent 2 broken flippin sticks and they said both were "crush cracks" and wanted $90 a piece. After asking for management I was able to get them both for $90, but they were difficult to deal with and don't take care of their customers like G-loomis and some of the others do. I do like the newer versions of their rods though. Seem to be much lighter, more graphite then glass and lots of line guides.
