Ironman 2?

I have the permit for DVL for a night tournament on Saturday, August 9 and haven't decided whether to run a typical night tournament or make it special like the Ironman. It will be a 100% payback with all entry and option money going back to the participants.

Let me know what you all think and if you have some creative suggestions, don't be afraid to speak up. I want to make this a cool event and do something fun.

Let me know,
Brian

Hmm.. how about...

a one rod or one bait derby. Good way to show off mad skillz, a little creativity, and maybe help promote vendor sponsorship.

Night or Day... don't care.

I think Guy and I would like to have another crack at an ironman format. Last year we stunk up the place so bad it was funny....like not at all. We almost had to pull out into the middle of the lake and have a casting contest like we did at tristates 2004 at Mohave... Ah da.mn....I was trying to forget that tournament..sorry guy!!

Ironman would be fun...

Thanks for picking up that permit that AB gave back. I like what Rick G. said. We'd get a crack at both a sunset and sunrise bite. How cool would that be?

I just like to fish

no matter when it is. Good or bad, cold or hot, no matter what time of day or year. Always trying to learn. Sometimes you pay, sometimes you get paid. And actually, the poorer the finish, the more I want to fish the next one. Still a rush. Rick G.

Brian,

ABA has not told me or anyone else in Fish and Game that they are giving up their permits. Until they send a letter stating that they are giving up their permits the dates are taken. I know their website says they are not going to hold the tournaments but that alone does not release the dates. Once they send me a letter releasing the dates it will be first come first serve on who can have their dates. Anyone wanting to apply for a date is required to submit an permit application with the $50.00 fee to our Ontario office address which is:

Dept. of Fish and Game
3602 Inland Empire Blvd. Suite C-220
Ontario, CA 91764

Attention Phyllis- tournament Permits

Hope this works out for you.

Mike

Hey Mike, John Barron and I are doing it on Aug. 9. He already has the permits. ABA has nothing to do with it. Thanks Mike!

I saw the post that someone said you got an ABA permit and that is why I thought they were involved. My records shows that ABA has the August 9th date. I think you put the wrong date down on your orginal post. John Barron has a permit for August 2nd is that the date you are going to have your event?

Sorry for the confusion just didn't want you to show up on a date you didn't have a permit for.
