What are some of the nice campgrounds in Clear Lake to tent camp at with your boat. Preferrably one that has a ramp and showers. Thanks for any input.

State Park (<--click here) hands down, if you can get in.

i will second greg with clear lake state park i have stayed there a handfull of times. the bathrooms and showers are cleaner then most hotels.

there are only two downfalls:

1) to charge your batteries you have to use the outlet plugs next to the launch ramp and you can not see your boat from your campsite.

2) there is an inmate workcrew that cleans up the campground so lock all of your belongings.

Edge Water camp grounds. It has it's own launch ramp and dock. Ask for an RV / Fifth wheel space and you can charge your boat.

If you go onto Reserve America you can actually see what sites are available by date. We use it every year to make our reservations. I usually take a generator with me and just plug the boat into that. You can run the generator until 8:00 pm. There is usually someone who works at the park driving around, including a Ranger and we saw them regularly. Showers are pretty cheap-$1.25 for 8 minutes, good water pressure and not just cold water. If you have kids, there is a swimming area. There is a little store over by the boat ramp and that's where you pay to plug into the outlets-$5.00 a day I think. Boat ramp is clean and not alot of traffic. Good luck.
