Livewell problem

I run a 2004 Ranger and the live wells will only fill up halfway when the boat is in the water whether they are in recirculate or auto. However when the boat is on the trailer and I fill up the livewells with a hose it will hold water in auto but leaks out when on recirculate. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem. Im hoping the valve is clogged but not sure how/where to access it to check. Anyone have any information. Thanks

I have this problem occasionally with my 2004 Ranger. When this happens, I usually just switch it back and forth from auto to recirc several times and the valve finally sits properly so the livewells fill up to the overflow. I just assume the valve isn't seating right do the troglidite nature of the system, so the "jiggle, jiggle, shake, shake" system seemed to be appropriate and works with my boat.

I have 2007 Ranger Z21 and have the same problem as McDough43 described.

Where is this the valve to check and clean out?

Will definetly try the "jiggle, jiggle, shake, shake". It sound cheap and easy, just what Im looking for! Thanks
