Hi, my name is Nick Barse, I am doing a report on the San Joaquin Delta, and its troubled ecosystem. If you are aware of the recent laws passed concerning the Delta, could you please take the time to participate in my survey. Thank you.

1. Recent increases in delta water exports are directly related to the sudden decline of several delta fish species.
2. Increasing water exports by building a peripheral canal will make problems in the delta worse.
3. Funding for the California department of fish and game is vital in protecting the delta wildlife's future.
4. Action for restoring the delta's waterways needs to happen immediately, rather than years down the line.
5. The governor is doing a disappointing job protecting California’s natural resources.

Thanks again for your time

Note, your wording on question 2. Increasing water exports ?

IMHOP, The new peripheral along with other measures currently under study could help solve some of the current problems with the delta. But, if water export is (increased) to past historic levels or beyond, it will have an devastating effect. Which would be a exact opposite to what is expected to be achieved with a new canal system !

Hi Nick,

I'll participate in your survey but I don't think you're getting a good cross sample of the general public if you're asking bass anglers like yourself.

Of course we all feel the same way about the delta and natural resources so your results will be skewed. If that's what you're looking for, then great. But if you need a sample of the general population, you need to look else where too.

Even though he is in charge, and not who I voted for, we have to remeber the govenor is like the president in the sence that he is only one part of a greater problem....Theres my two cents for the month...
