What is your split shot setup

What rod and reel are you using for Split Shotting and how do they perform as far as casting and backbone?

I use a 7'2" Medium Crucial dropshot rod. I like the extra length because I can cast the rig a long ways which helps keep me off of the bank and the fish I am casting to. I think the length helps with hookups when they eat it a good distance from the boat.

i second the shimano crucial 7'2" combined with my stradic 2500. i like a little bigger spool, smoother casting. one spool is 10lb for heavier structured water and the other is spooled with 6.
