I just recently started fishing w/ senko's , I have only weightless wacky rigged 5" senko's so far, but have had good results in certain conditions..Anyway I bought some 7 inchers to try thinking bigger bait=bigger fish..Anyone have any luck with the big ones?

Also I wasnt sure what hooks to get for these and I ended up w/ size 1/0 finesse....what do y'all use?

Just fished the delta last week. All of our fish came on senko's. 6" RB red & gold. Whacky Rigged on a 3/0 or4/0 ewg hook. If your fishing the 7"er then I would go with the 6/0 as well. My lifetime best came on this bait back in 98. 10.06 beauty caught in a ABA tourney at McClure. I have fished all my life and have caught more big fish in the past 10yrs on a senko than any other bait. I have to admitt though the swimbaits are gonna get ya a bigun but for consistant #'s Try the 6" as well you won't be dissapointed. WM Red & Black fleck's not a bad choice either. Tom

I make a 8-1/2"er that I fish on Clear Lake and at the Delta..Biggest so far 9.98 on the Delta and 10.45 at Clear Lake numerous 6-7-8s..YES they do catch bigger fish but you have to be patient don't get in a hurry. The bigger baits I rig wacky with stingers...stay at it...good luck.

The 7" is about all is use on the Delta. Black/Blue or Watermelon black flake. 5/0-6/0 T-rigged on 50#-65# braid or whatever line you prefer and you are in business.
