Well I'm not sure if your flippin them with a skirted jighead. But if you aren't you should try them as a trailer. Honestly, I seem to have more success with the Chigger Craws. But it all comes down to confidence, if you like the action then keep pluggin away and eventually you will figure them out.

That flat out work great! Destroyed them at C. Lake last summer with them as trailer on my football jig! The secret is to use 3/4 or 1oz jig and keep the jig moving(slow rolling) ticking the rocks and keep the legs flapping! The more movement, the better the paca works! They'll catch up to it and destroy it! Cheap too! D.B.COOPER

The Paca is a great trailer IMHO when fish are active - go back to the yamamoto when they are not as active. My favorite colors are Okochobee, Watermelon candy and Saphire Blue. The Okochobee is green with Blue flakes and purple on one side - just sick for a lot of our lakes.
If you get bummed about this bait - PM me with how much you want per bag

The large Paca craws work great on the river when Punchin'. I haven't had much success using them for anything else. I do use the Paca Chunk Sr a lot as a jig trailer. That butterfly flutter will draw strikes in the summer time, great fer swimmin that jig here too.

Caught quite a few fish the last few weeks up at Clear Lake on Mavericks new bait that has a beaver-esque back end with paca like claws. It's called something Scrat ....we referred to it as Muskrat Love

Ash is dead on..These Pacas are feast or famine. To me that makes them a great bait. Awesome on shakey heads. Like D.B. said the heavier the head, the more action. Chigger craws are the most liveless trailer I have ever seen. The Berkley pro staff has done a awesome con job with these. The Strike King rage baits are the real deal.

Strike King Denny Brauer 3X Chunks, too bad they redid the formula and they dont float nearly as well any more

................ Its just a shame when you have the "good" version of a bait well stocked in your home tackle shop!
As for the Pacas, one of my buddies liked them alot, but said the claws get ripped off real easy and the tackletour.com review was less than enthusiastic, no real bouyancy to the bait, so the claws just fold over when the bait isn't moving.
Just my 4 cents,

IMHO i think they ONLY work when used swiming or moving the bait. I have been trying to get em to bite otherwise when slow draggin or short hoppin but no luck. I think these baits work excellent when fished med-fast retrieve. i love them on the spot remover shakey head or a 1 oz wadda or my fav is a 3/4 bass patrol football head i use many diff color combinations and seriously think this is the # 1 moving jig trailer!!
As for slower presentations i like yammamoto twin tails, sweet beavers or huddleston craw bugs. good luck and let us know the outcome !!!
