First Delta Trip?

Myself and a friend are planning a trip to the Delta in the next month or so. We have no idea where to fish or where to stay.We are considering possibly getting a guide for at least one day.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Delta. The next tap on your line could be your PB.
I recommend getting a campsite and berth w/ electricity @ either Russo's or Beacon Harbor. Excellent access to fishing/Frank's Tract and Delta nightlife at the Rusty Porthole.
Getting a guide will make your trip. Otherwise, you may struggle with the tides, current and better fishing locations.

The Delta is an intimidating place until you learn you way around. If you have the means a guide is the way to go and there are plenty of good ones that visit this site regularly. If you go for it by yourselves make sure you use your GPS and mark a way point where you launch. There is a lot of water out there and plenty of ways to get turned around. This fishing is great out there just pay attention when on plane because boats seem to come out of nowhere sometime.

Go to the top of the page. Click on the Guides link. The top two listed, you can't go wrong for the Delta. If you want quite, I reccomend B&W resort. Very nice. Clean cabins, safe harbor with full hook ups at your slip. If your interested you can PM me I have there number. My $.02
