Summary of news article today in the Press Enterprise:

CDRC and Warden Derral G. Adams of Corcoran State prison issued a statement saying the Delta Maniac has been released from jail.

"We are urging outdoorsman in the San Joaquin Delta to be very cautious near boat launches, duck blinds, and boat houses" said Warden Adams.

In the early 1980's Guy Frederick Bobber a.k.a. The Delta Maniac "committed numerous haenous crimes which we would prefer to keep out of the publics conscienousness. This guy makes Hannibal Lecter look like a girl scout" said one un-named source.

The Judge in this case said " given the budgetary cuts within the California State at this time, my hands are tied, and although I would prefer to keep Mr. Bobber in Jail for the rest of his life, I have no choice but to obey the law".

Warden Adams had this final warning: " The last thing the maniac said to me was " Im a going up the Delta, and its gonna be ugly". "I am strongly urging all fisherman to be on the look out for any suspicous characters, and to call the Police with any tips.

Police did say that they followed him along I-5, over to 580 West, and then lost track of him off of Vasco Road where he " just disappeared" said the officer, adding " I hope there are no bass tournaments this weekend", this guy is a ticking time bomb".

I was out just a few hours ago and saw a real creepy looking guy hanging out on the bank. He was not fishing just looking at every boat that went by, then a guy in a stratos came bye and picked him up. Very weird guy though just kept laughing for no reason. All this took place towards the back of pilot.

Come on guys. This is ibviously fake. If they thought this guy was still that big of a threat they wouldnt have released him. And even if they did after he made the threat, the police would have grounds to re-arrest him and put him back in jail where he would so obviously belong. Not only that but even if this guy was real and did get released who would be dumb enough to make a threat like that directly to a Warden? No matter what if you get released from prison you are going to be on some kind of parole, and a threat like that would land you back in jail.

Not real, I think Tim is just trying to keep people from fishing the Snag Proof tournament this weekend. LOL While I was reading this I was thinking, is it April Fools Day?

The delta Maniac was spotted in Pilot Slough, apprehended, and then managed to escape four sheriff deputies and one K-9 unit.

At the time of his apprehension the Maniac a.k.a. Guy Bobber, had caught what appeared to be a world record bass. According to one sheriffs spokesman " that fish was the biggest bass I have ever seen, but the Maniac must have put on 50 pounds of muscle while in prison, we couldn't stop him".

Clues to where he is now?? " were asking for the help of the people". His physical description asked one bystander?? " he is real big and mean, and laughs for no reason, with big beady eyes" said the sheriffs spokesman at the conference.

Hopefully a full arrest will happen soon.
