I decided to launch out of Russo’s Marina 3 weeks ago so I can try out this side of the water. I normal launch out of Tracy. I went inside the office where I was greeted with a friendly smile from the secretary and a big "how can we help you today sir" from chuck Russo. I have to say this establishment has everything going for it. The nicest people you could ever meet, the nicest facility you could ever launch out of and the best tackle Shoppe right there on the dock, you couldn’t ask for a better way to start off your morning. I start heading for the opening in the wall and saw a good place to fish. I Start tossing my spook and see this beautiful young lady walking down with a fishing pole in her hand, she sees me and waves with a smile and asks if I have done any good. I aid I just started how about you? She said if she gets lucky she might catch one off her dock. She looks at my spook and says no no! that’s not the right color they wont eat that right now, hang on I will be right back. She comes back with this box of lures and just starts talking fish! She told me what the fish are doing, what they are eating, and what kind of habitat I should be looking for. She explained things to me I never would have thought about and it all made sense. She opens her box and hands me a spook, frog, crank bait and pack of senkos and says here, go out there and look for the habitat I just told you about and fish it with these baits! I was blown away and very impressed with her knowledge of bass fishing. She new everything there is to know about fishing out here.. I thanked her and said I will bring the baits back when I’m done, she said no its ok you can keep them. I thanked her again and asked her her name She shakes my hand and says Amber Russo what’s yours? I could not believe it. I looked at her and said well that explain it! she just smiled and walked back up the dock. I went out there and saw exactly what she was talking about and caught fish all morning. My biggest was 8lb 6ozs my smallest was 3. The bite turned off right when she said it would and she told me to run the tide so I did and sure enough I got into them again. I just want the Russo family to know you guys do one hell of a job. I will never launch anywhere else. Thank You Amber for sharing your knowledge and helping me figure the fish out. Because of you I had a great day catching fish and learned things I never new that worked real well so thank you. I give the Russo’s two thumbs up!!

Wait until you fish a tourny there. The first time I did there was 175 boats in the field. When we got there the trucks were lined up as far as the eye could see. No problem for Russos staff. Like the true pros that they are, everything was cordinated and moved like a well oiled machine. They treat you like family not a number.

Only place I've ever fished that provides a shuttle to your truck and back, and has the guy in the water to hook up your boat for you...Top notch all the way...

Russo's is by far the best place to launch in California. From Tournaments to fun fishing they treat you like a friend every time. On tournament day having you shuttled back and fourth from parking to launch ramp blew me a way. Even when i forgot my sunglasses and needed a lift back they were there! Thank you Russo's for your great work!

Russo’s is definitely a great place, surrounded with greet people. Last year my little boy and I met amber. She took him around the sugar barge and showed him some monster bass that he still talks about. He has fished ever since and still uses the lures she gave him. Russo’s marina and the Russo family are 5 star all the way around.

Best launch this side of Cleveland.

Never launched there before... maybe i should give it a try..

Russos is a great launch facility, I have been going there for over 2o years . We will be there in 2 weeks for the 2 day tidal challenge tournament. If I only met Amber when I was young I too could be a better fishermen. She knows those fish well and shes a cute one!
Dont miss out on camping there with your boat hooked up to electrical and waking up on the delta!!

As a TD it is the greatest place to run a torunament ever... I will never leave russos ever.... and having the Hook open early to provide a place to get any last minute items as well as serve up some coffee..... man I love Russos

Amber is very helpful, she has helped many of my friends with info, lures and even loaned them her flipping stick. Russo Family is a class act, she guides to, hit her up, she will put you on fish....

Amber is a fine girl and Chuck and crew do an awesome job there. I just love that place.
