Hey folks what knot do you prefer to tie your flouro to your hook, crankbaits, punching etc.
The Trilene Knot
The Uni Knot
The Polamar Knot
The Snell Knot
Thanks for your opinion!

Pretty much tie the Palomar universally.......I have started to learn the Snell for punchin cuz I think it will give me a better hook position but haven't found a punchin lake back here yet!!!

trilene for most baits, but it must be wet and pulled slowly. Palomar for drop-shot.

It's hard to say whats a good knot, I think it's what you have confidence in. Most guys I fish around like the palomar for drop shot and most other things. The one I like is the worlds far knot for drop shot and the double trilene for most other. I found a cool web page that shows all the hot rod knots everyone uses.

whatever you can tie correct. The ability to tie a clean knot out weighs what knot you are tying. It doesnt matter if you are tying the strongest knot in the world if you cant tie it correctly.

1. what you can tie correctly, is a great answer

2. a palomar knot whenever convient

3. a modified chinch knot when necessary

Knot wars has tests of just about any knot you can think of and you tube has videos on how to tie them. The next thing is to melt the tag end of the line or glue it. This one step will increase knot strength a ton.

Good call John, I like the palomar for everything I do and have not had any problems with it. A friend of mine swears by the San Diego jam knot. Just be careful when tying, it's not a race!!

Since learning how to tie a Palomar knot, I have only had it break at the knot once in over 30 years of using it..I have broken my line off on snags and such and it wasn't at the knot..I have heard people say it is nothing but an overhand knot and that is the weakest knot out there, but if it is tied right the Palomar has nothing in common with an overhand knot..

Palomar for everything. It keeps it simple.

Palomar knot is a great knot but most of the BASS Elite guys run the worlds far knot for drop shot. As someone else said, what you can tie correctly.
