there was a sign at russos for prop repair. I don't think they do it but call them and they could tell you.

Call Phil's, they may just send you one, and have you send yours to them in exchange or to borrow ?? You just never know, they have done it for me before !!!

Thanks fellas. What do you guys know of kens props and driveshaft somebody recommended them as well.

How bad is the damage on your fluke or flukes ? ...and are you running a Stainless or an Alunimum?

Locally around our habitat - there is Russo's in BIsland- and Kevin's prop shop in Antioch off of Sunset Ln.


If you have a Stainless prop -- Just make sure before the work is done ....That the flukes will not be re-set to thin ... and that they will POLISH the prop as well.

I am still ticked about my prop not being polished in the first place as I now have getting-onpad-blowout ... As well as cavitation in cornering with blowout again. Due in most part that it was not polished in the first place and that all three flukes were reworked and not uniform in pitch and thickness with each other.

All I ended up with in the end from Insurance Co. on a 2and opeinng of the original claim ~ was a check for $66 and a hand-shake... and him saying he would of scraped it from the get-go as the Flukes can not be repaired correctly on our high end motors for peformance as was original.


When I get a couple spare 12hr shifts of O.T. - I'll start looking into trying out the Fury that everyone is raving about ~ and put my current prop into back-up mode.

I am new to the bass boat ownership deal. I dont think its too bad couple of dents and chip. Whatever i hit it felt like i just nicked something. I hardly felt it. I just hope my shaft is good.

typically, if you hit something hard enough to feel at all, it could definately lead to potential problems down the road. I've had those types of light bumps put out a lower unit a month later, and have seen blades spun off props as a result as well.

Call Drew at Boatmasters in livermore, they can check both for you1-925-443-5775. Tell him what happened and ask his advice.

Speck - I have had my prop repaired twice by Phil's and they do top notch work. Dave at Russo's does great work I have heard.
