Looking for the first 20 people to send me their address for two new colors in the 7" Spear Worm. Brody Oil - (motor oil and watermelon red mix) and Meta Pearl - (pearl white with a hint of pink/ small silver fleck). Looking for some western feedback.

Gewt on them guys... John is being very generous, and the Spear Worms are catching them flippin' and riggin'

The new colors are cool too. Body Oil is kind of a mix between watermelon red and motor oil with red flake, and Meta Pearl reminds me of the old Anglers Choice Delta Dawn, great color for Oroville and Folsom Spots

Thanks for the generosity for our readers John,

Dan O'Sullivan

Email sent. That 7" Spear Worm looks interesting--kinda like a giant reaper or cow tongue...

Just recieved my sample of the new colors. Any suggestions on optium presentation, I was looking at them and thought a shakey head would be the best or maybe t-rig.

The worms work any way you like to fish soft plastics. I have the most luck T-rigged or weightless. C-rig, shakeyhead, splitshot and fished with the tail perpendicular to the surface and twitched like a fluke is killer! Looking for any feedback from the 34 guys that I sent samples to. Also a quick word on the colors and the first impression.

First impressions:
Meta Pearl - had a buzzbait it would match perfectly with as a trailer
Brody Oil - a combination of my 2 favorite colors for soft plastics on Clear Lake
I had a good feeling about both of those immediatly

I used the Meta Pearl as a trailer to a white buzzbait with silver flakes in the skirt and a white head with some pink on the bottom and it matched perfectly
I used the Brody Oil texas rigged with a half ounce weight

No fish under 2 1/2 lbs on the Brody Oil with the best going around 4 1/2 to 5, and multiple 3's and quite a few 4's.
The Meta Pearl that I used as a trailer to a buzzbait had great action, looked perfect with it. Biggest for the day on that combination was about 3 lbs but caught lots of fish.
4 of my 5 best fish that day were on the texas rig, for about 18-20 lbs.

I'm farely new to fishing and only being 13, that was the best experience on the water fishing for my dad and I, both in numbers and size, since we have started and most of the success was because of your lures

Thanks again,
Jeff

Will get my first chance to fish them on wednesday. My first impression out of the box is that the pearl color might work well on as a fluke or fish in spin apllication. I hope this baits survives Mcclure, so I can feed it to Delta Strippers.

The other color seems more like a good craw color for Mcclure. I'll probably try shakey heading it or T-rig.

Overall I'd Describe it as a reaper style bait. I've had amazing luck with 2in reapers in the past, and look foward to trying as many variations as possible.

I also received my samples. I really like the shape and size of these baits and I think they will be good lures for a verity of techniques. From flipping to d-shoting, I think they will get bit. I am really excited to use these baits as chatterbait trailers. I put the pearl bait on the back of a white chatterbait and threw it around some, and it looks awesome. Thank you for the samples, they will get a good workout on the Delta next weekend.

That sounds like a fun day, thanks for sharing your excitement about the best day of fishing you and your dad have experienced to date.

Kind of touching to hear of a father and son having that kind of fun on the water. Your dad is doing the right thing, teaching you how to fish, and sharing the thrill of it with you.

Thanks John for making moments like this happen, your generosity is appreciated.
