Anyone have one of these? It sounds like something I would like to try.. But I feel I would snag and lose it first cast..

Caught one in 30 foot on the cast. They on the way to the launch ramp at the end of the day I trolled one on the trolling motor to the Ramp probably 400 yards and got one in 45 foot. No size but pretty cool. I told my buddy "I got one". Crazy

I love these Dredgers !
They don't get snagged as much as you would think,
I fish them really deep, on the edge of a cliff or rock wall, or on off shore rocks
15lb McCoy Floro100 and a stout cranking rod is what i use to fish these baits.
Also the spinning hooks are a huge plus

I have fished the Dredger twice. First time no bites, but in all honesty I wasn't in the water conditions/depth I bought the lure for. Used it again this afternoon and I'm going to make a statement I have never made about a lipped crank bait...I got hit on the fall.I threw it into 25 feet of water and it got slammed about half way down. Wasn't expecting it...didn't swing in time.. As hard as it got hit I'm surprised the fish didn't hang itself.
I like this bait, but there is going to be a learning curve.
Stay tuned.

Here's a tip with fishing the Dredger, it can be tied directly to braid when fishing it deep. If you do get hung, your chances are better getting it back. I was with Joe when he caught the first bass on the prototype Dredger at Havasu in 30 feet of water, yep tied directly to braid. Most of the time we top shot the braid with 25lb mono. This bait did have some problems early on, but now have seemed to have it dialed in. The rotating hooks are very important to this bait as it increases your hooking percentage and it makes it really hard for the fish to throw the bait. It's a fun bait and if you don't believe, it will surprise you.

Thanks. These look like they will be worth a try' especially in some of our deep clear lakes. I just ordered one of each.
