With the stren pulling out of the west I think next year I'm going to give won bass a try. I checked out the web site but they don't say anything about entry fees or payout. I was wondering if anyone knows what the pro enty fees are going to be for 2010 and if they are giving boats away or doing cash prizes only? Thanks for any input.

If you havent heard, WonBass has lost most of its tournament directors. Their kind of a sinking ship right now. So I am NOT planning on any WonBass events this year.

Even if they do happen they will be pretty weak.

I hope they pull it off but they couldnt do it last year and that was with all their directors in place. I think Anglers choice and FLW guard are gonna be the hot Pro/ams this year. Last year Anglers paid back 100% at Pro Ams. Thats a HUGE plus right there.

WON and Western Outdoor News are two seperate operations and I wouldn't be surprised to see Western Outdoor News dump it's tournament operations and make a little money off of it. The loss of these directors in particular is gonna hurt turnout in those regions as the anglers have come to trust WON, despite it's payback, because of those directors.

Of course they will Dave. It's been 3 days since the previous directors gave notice and it's going to take a little time to put the right people in place. Life goes on and so will WON. Wow, that rhymed.

Here is the latest email I got from Ashley at WONBASS:
Hi Charley,
As of right now the WON BASS season is up in the air. We are looking for a new director and trying to tie in sponsors.
So unfortunately I don’t really have much information for you other then we are working extremely hard with sponsors and trying to find a new director.
We are aware of the Shasta issue and as soon as we lock in the season we will announce what action will be taken.
Sorry I’m not much help.
We will keep you anglers updated with any new information.
Sincerely,
Ashley Hartman

One day at the bar, Prancer spied a hot lass from afar.
When he walked by to try and say hi,
She replied sir, you do not have a chance here

Your most welcome Brian. Actually I wanted to end the volley as it looked to be heading down a painful path
