ATTENTION, OROVILLE IS NOT CLOSED TO BOATING

DWR closed the Bidwell ramp because of the water being pulled from the lake. The spillway gravel ramp (same as last year) is open and in good shape. The light is on for the early comers and for the ones last in at night. I do not know if State Parks has suspended the fee's as of right now. I will find out more tomorrow and post in the evening. As of right know we will still have the AC GOLDCITY tournament this Sat. Will it be a little more difficult, yes, but we did it 3 times last year and got better at it every time. We will launch everyone just like we did last year, as long as you get here on time. More to come. Jason Bubier[/quote][/u][/b]

Thanks for the update Jason, glad to hear the spillway dirt ramp is still available, and that you're still running the tournament!

I will not water the driveway for a couple of weeks to let Oroville catch up.
Hopefully you guys are getting some of this weather that is hitting down South. We are getting HAMMERED. I am in my new house and afraid it might blow over. I am concerned because I built it.

At least there is no rain coming through the walls.

You can launch and trailer with out 4X4 if you do it right. once the weight of the boat gets on the trailer, you have to have the momentum to get up the ramp. Most people do not have a problem, if you do, there is usually someone there that can help get you up the ramp. Just don't be the last one to leave. If you are talking about our event on Saturday, we will launch you in the morning and we will not leave until the last boat exits the water. We will have trucks availible for towing or launching depending on the conditions.

I just have a 14 foot aluminum or I would love to fish your events. I sure appreciate the info though. Gonna try to get out someday this week. Thanks again.

Never judge a book (fisherman) by its cover. Cody Meyer started fishing team events out of an aluminium boat, his mom would drop him off because he did not have a drivers license. Good luck and good fishing..
