Bass Lake might be closed for the winter. Better check first.

your going to have to get out in the deeper water to get a decent bite, years past I have picked up some good spots this time of year. you just cant get to those areas consistently from the bank.

Bass lake closes in the winter? I used to live by it and never heard of it closing. I know most of the resorts and facilities close down after tourist season but the whole lake gets closed? Just curious

I thought I read a recent fishing report that said Bass Lake was closed, but maybe it's the way you described it — hotels, facilities closed, not the lake itself.

I used to live in Fresno. Not to state the obvious, but if it's snowed in, it's closed for boats. If you can walk through the snow to fish, more power to ya.

Danny if I read your other post right your going to be here sometime next August. If you planning on fishing Bass Lake in the middle of the summer during the day good luck! It is a mad house there with pleasure boater's. Your best bet from the bank might be to wait untill everything calm's down and do a little night fishing.
