What a wierd name. Does anyone use Brown Eye Shad color out there at all? It's a serious old school color around here in East Texas. I just did this custom One Knocker for a friend who has a stash of traps with the original Brown Eye pattern. Any interest in a Shibui Spinnerbait in this pattern?

I know, I know. But I didn't name it! When they told me the name I thought they were kidding (I'm a little gullible at times). I even got into an argument with my husband and Matsubu over it and told them that can't possibly be the name because that's for, well, you know. Then I googled it and sure enough there it was - the big Brown Eye shad. I was wrong - they are right - I hate that!

one knocker browneye?

sorry, had to... i mean, come on.

looks like a great color to me. i love simple, subtle colors. brown and purple, or blue, or red are all great colors, and many people feel a large eye spot enhances a baits triggering capacity. you are right about it being old school Texas color, i remember seeing baits in this color as a kid. (lived in Palestine at the time) never tried them, as i didn't have much bread for cranks and mostly fished Culprit worms and H&H spinners...
