WHY DOES FLOROCARBON TWIST SO MUCH

Seems everytime I try to use it on spinning reel, I wind up going back to Mono. Why does it twist so much, frustrating.

It could be a couple of things. When yo spool it up make sure it is coming off the bottom of the spool. Another thing dont reel to set the bail over. Manually flip it over your self and pull the line out so you dont get that "loop" in the spool. There is a video of this by Randy Pringle in the archives of westernbass.tv . And if all else fails, put on a barrel swivel. It will eliminate all line twist. I personally prefer the ones that Spro makes. Their smallest size has a lb. test of 35lb's and is barely 1/4 of an inch long! I hope this helps!!

As mentioned, things to check, also if you use to heavy a test on a small reel it can twist more and also fluff off and cause all kinds of problems.
Use as light a test as you can and always close the reel by hand.

Spool up your spinning reels with braid and then use a few feet of fluoro (or mono) as a leader. Tie the two lines together with a surgeons knot. You won't be getting twist with braid.

+1 Works great. Be sure to back it with mono or floro.

I have always used floro on my spinning rigs
Once I learned to close the bail by hand haven't had any probelms with it
Also I only fill my spool 3/4 full
