Any one have problems with the HDS units 5 -10 resetting themselves if they receive shock from a hard wave or bouncing? I have a HDS-7 on my tracker 17.5 and it re-set itself when i bounced a wave. Hopefully that won't happen again when I get the RAM mount installed. Right now its hard mounted with the gimbal bracket to the gunwale

I have had that happen before with other units. Check all the wire connections. I had one that was loose under the console. It was a poor installation job by the place I had it done at in my opinion!

I don't think it's a "G-Force" issue. We just got the crud beat out of us in big water and neither one of my units reset and this was at 40-60 mph. I had this on a humminbird unit that I had and when they installed it the jumper they ran to power was loose. It took me forever to find it. Good Luck

Check the fuse. You really have to push it down into it's holder. If it's not seated well, it will work fine until a big shock moves the constacts. You really have to jam it down in there.

FUSE, maybe that's it, I didn't think to check the fuse. I'll give it a try and see if it occurs again.
Thanks all for the assist
