Hello All,
I don't know if it's just me. I'm not completely ignorant when it comes to computers but this one is stumping me.
I have a laptop loaded with Windows 7 and Windows XP and both have the newest version of Windows media player and still having problems loading up the Windows version of the DVL video on my player.
Anybody know how to fix this problem?
Thanks,
Chuy

I've asked Tuna and Gator to quiz you guys about your computer environments and what not so we can figure out why you can't see the vids.

I had the same problem...I just let it start and then hit pause and let the video load and then it worked fine. takes a couple of minutes.

A new home PC for here ... and all I had to do was click on the tab for the PC to upload/update/install a new program.
Started with any YouTube Vid itself asking for a DL to view ... and that had me scratching my head wondering Why? It done in less than 10 seconds.
The WB TV for DVIX - clicked on the link and it popped up a yellow tab up top of the browser for Permision to Access/DL. Witch I did .. and it it is lightning fast with great quality on a 27" monitor.
Had to do the same with Quick Time - and that was fast as well. But took some time to install the final program. (4 minuets mabey ?)
Windows Media I did not have to do anyting to. MS did do some new install updates out of the box by itself and I just updated them.
Check you Windows Update and install and new security/patches from MS weekely from your PC if you do not have that function turned on . If that does not work look at your AV Permiissive settings possibly.
My current AV is Norton free from Comcast. I was skeptable at first as I have been a long time McAfee user and I know that program really well. I am really liking the functions of Norton so far.

Its called streaming the more people on it the longer it will take. also if you are in a high internet populated area it will stop and go.

Some of the problems are definitely due to streaming and/or populous broadband segments.
I watched the DVL video last niight on my HP laptop via wireless, running Windows 7 and IE8, using the Windows Media 9 version, and not a hitch.
We are painstakingly providing three versions of the videos so that the user community all have options to their viewing choices, and I'd certainly recommend anyone having issues with one to try one of the alternatives. I myself have watched all three versions on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 with equal success, so there certainly should be an option available to server your specific purposes and requirements.
One very good suggestion posted above is the tip to start the video, then click Pause to allow the streaming file to cache... I've had to do this with some of the live streaming offerings such as FLW once in a while.
If you continue to have issues and aren't able to use any of the alternatives, please send a PM with specific details:
- Operating System
Browser brand and version (including sub-version information from the About box)
Media Player brand and version (including sub-version information from the About box)
File type (WMV, Quicktime or DIVX)
Specific symptoms - hangs, glitches every few seconds, poor/mismatched audio/video, etc...
I'll try to help work through the issues as they crop up (and as time permits - your understanding is appreciated!)
CHUY - I owe you in particular as I haven't had a chance to respond back to your PM yet... please provide the details above and I'll make your issue my priority.
